Munich, January 26, 2024. The ARENA2036 research campus welcomes acatech - German Academy of Engineering Sciences - as a new member of the ecosystem. Together, the research campus and the academy support comprehensive, cross-domain data use that enables new business models, services and products and at the same time strengthens the sovereign use of data. The first result of the collaboration is the joint theme day on data rooms at the ARENA2036 location in Stuttgart on February 8, 2024.

The entry of acatech into the network of the research campus ARENA2036 is a strong signal towards the future. In the age of digitalization, networking and use of data play a crucial role in technological progress and securing the future of Germany as a business location. acatech brings its expertise and high reputation in advising politics and society to the ARENA2036 ecosystem.
The goal: A wide variety of actors should set up common data rooms and platforms and work together on equal terms.
The upcoming theme day “Data dialogue: The benefits of data rooms in the cross-domain value chain” marks the start of the cooperation: It will take place on 8. February 2024at the ARENA2036 research campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.
Organized by the acatech initiative MISSION KI, the transformation hub Transfer-X, ARENA2036 with the data room initiative ARENA-X and the Mobility Data Space (MDS), it is about use and exchange from data to data rooms.
The MISSION AI, presented to the public in November 2023 as part of the AI conference in Mainz, starts with the data basis in order to enable quality-assured AI applications. As a leveraging project of the Federal Government's digital strategy, MISSION KI is being developed by acatech and funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV).
The data marketplace for the mobility sector Mobility Data Space (MDS) aims to build a data infrastructure that brings together companies, organizations and institutions from the mobility industry.
Providers of relevant data meet solution developers who need this data to set up and operate innovative mobility concepts. The Mobility Data Space is funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV) and is a lighthouse project of the European cloud initiative Gaia-X< /a>.
