Aftermath of strikes at Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza Strip ‘carnage’ - UNICEF

SECURITY: UN-GAZA-CAMP

NEW YORK, November 2. /TASS/. The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) called the Israeli strikes at the Jabalia refugee camp a "carnage," according to a statement, published on the UNICEF website.

"The scenes of carnage coming out of Jabaliya camp in the Gaza Strip […] are horrific and appalling," the statement says. Meanwhile, the UNICEF underscores that is yet unknown how many children were killed by the Israeli strikes.

"These two attacks follow 25 days of ongoing bombardment that have reportedly resulted in more than 3,500 children killed […] and over 6,800 children reportedly injured," the agency noted.

Previously, CNN reported citing a local hospital representative that at least 80 people were killed in the Israeli airstrike at the Jabalia refugee camp, located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. According to the representative, most victims are children and women, with hundreds of people injured. The exact number of victims is unknown, because many still remain under the debris, the TV channel said.
