According to the senior US defense official, the operation is aimed at “jointly addressing security challenges in the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, with the aim of ensuring freedom of navigation for all countries and ensuring security and prosperity in “to strengthen the region”. Austin also said that Bahrain, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles, Spain and the United States will come together.
