Current situation shows Russia’s reaction to Ukrainian threat is mild, diplomat says

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. The situation in the world proves that any country would have reacted to threats from Ukraine much harsher than Russia did, says Alexey Polischuk, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Second CIS Department.
"The treats were artificially created by the US and its satellites, who brought NATO’s military infrastructure right next to our borders and turned friendly Ukraine, which had always had a neutral non-aligned status, into a Nazi ‘anti-Russia,’ which hates and destroys everything Russian," Polischuk told TASS. "The beginning of the special operation was a forced measure. Any other power in our place would have acted similarly or even harsher. Such examples are for everyone to see today," the diplomat noted.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that US’ ruling elites and US’ satellites are behind conflicts both in Ukraine and in the Middle East. He pointed out that the Americans impose military bases everywhere, use military force at every occasion or without any occasion whatsoever, send weapons to conflict zones and fuel the hatred in Ukraine and the Middle East.
