Russian President Vladimir Putin may announce his plans for 2024 after the time frame for nominating presidential candidates has been determined, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview for Izvestia.

The spokesman noted that Putin “has not yet made any statements” about his participation or non-participation in the upcoming presidential election. When asked when he could do this, Peskov suggested waiting until the election date and nomination time frame were set.
“When they announce the election date, the end date for the nomination will also be shown - this is your time frame, you will see everything yourself,” he promised.
Speaking about the criteria that Putin will take into account when making his decision, Peskov quoted the president himself.
He has said time and time again that the most important thing to him is supporting people and being able to do more for people," the spokesman said.
“The head of state has repeatedly proven that his resources are far from exhausted; his ideas find support in society, among political forces in the regions, etc. I am sure that the results of the recent elections prove this once again." "How great the support is for him. Of course he will think about it,” emphasized Peskov.
