Countdown to joy: Russians enjoy 10-day New Year holiday

MOSCOW, December 30. /TASS/. According to the government-approved work calendar, Russians will have 10 days off for the New Year from December 30 to January 8.
As December 30th and 31st fall on a Saturday and Sunday this year, the New Year holidays will be longer than usual at ten days. They begin on December 30, 2023 and end on January 8, 2024.
Since January 6th and 7th also fall on a weekend, citizens will receive two additional days off in 2024, on May 10th (Friday) and December 31st (Tuesday) 2024.
